Need cash fast? The majority of people that try to convert their collectible coins to cash often receive less than 48% of the true value. This is partially due to the fact that coin grading is highly subjective and many coin dealers are in essence coin brokers, they are not coin collectors.

• Worst Value: Pawn Shop or Jewelry store, generally they will only buy silver or gold coins and will NOT consider value based on date or condition. In fact, they don't even pay the full current spot metal price! This is as bad as sending your gold to " Cash For Gold " Cash4Gold this is a very bad idea!
• Nearly as bad: Coin stores, prices can vary by region or integrity of individual dealer. Normal range is 15% to 65% of value. The percentage will actually DECREASE based on the number of coins involved.
• Better: On-line Auction Sites (ebay.com) Disadvantages of auction sites include computer skills required, set-up time, management time, seller's fees, dealing with public, shipping, delay's getting your cash and more. Primary Disadvantage is the fact that you will rarely ever sell anything for what it's worth, that's the nature of an auction, people are always looking for the best deal. Plus ebay and paypal fees add up to about 15% now add in your time, average listing takes 35mins, and you're looking at less than half of retail. Sell a 45.00 coin for $30.00 Now take away 15% this leaves 25.50 now take away your time lets just say your time is worth 15.00 an hour. You get the idea, you just sold your coin for $18.00. I will pay you more!
